Andrea - Veterinary Technician

I graduated technical school from Bel-Rea Institute, Denver CO in 2004. I spent a few years working with horses, alpacas and small animal out west before returning to Michigan at the end of 2008 where I started to work for Lisner Animal Hospital. I also spent 5 1/2 years working at Oakland Veterinary Referral Services in the ER and Critical Care department, where I learned many new skills and had the privilege of working with some very smart and talented Dr's and specialists. I came back to Lisner as full time surgical tech in September 2021. I very much enjoy the client communication aspect of my job and the people I work with. At home I have 2 Dobermans, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, a rescued Chihuahua, a rescued cat, horse, 2 rescued rabbits and a betta fish... phew! I love what I do for work and have loved it for 18 years and counting.

I started working at Lisner Animal Hospital almost two years ago and have enjoyed learning and growing with this company. I got into this career path because I have always had a passion and desire to work with animals and never saw myself doing anything else. The rewarding feeling I get when caring for both our healthy and sick patients is why I love my job!
I have two dogs and two cats of my own who are my absolute world: Walter - my English Bulldog, Olive - my Pit mix, and my two orange Tabby cats - Dale and Lucy. I can't wait to meet you and your forever furry friends!
